Arminia Bielefeld has settled an important personnel matter for the upcoming season: left-back Arne Sicker will remain with the club. The 29-year-old has extended his contract and will start his second season in Bielefeld. Arne Sicker played in 17 games of the 2. Bundesliga and in the second round of the DFB-Pokal against 1. FC Union Berlin, preparing two goals. Michael Mutzel, Arminia Bielefeld's sports managing director, explains: „Arne has excellently fulfilled his role within the team from day one and contributed to the class stay with consistently good performances.“ Arne Sicker has experience from 68 second-tier and 82 third-tier games. The native of Eckernförde is looking forward to the continued time in Bielefeld: „The city, the team and everything around the club have made it easy for me to quickly settle in and feel comfortable.“
