Arminia Bielefeld signs Maximilian Bauer on a permanent basis. The 26-year-old defender joined from FC Augsburg on a loan deal and will now be signed permanently. Bauer made 55 competitive appearances for Augsburg, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He will be particularly remembered for scoring the decisive spot-kick in the DFB-Pokal round-of-16 tie against Karlsruher SC in the 2023/24 season. Prior to his loan spell in Bielefeld, Bauer also spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
